London Lush Haul

So I said in my Make Up Revolution birthday party post that I went into London early on that day and one of the shops I was lucky enough to get to was Lush!! I went to the Lush in Sheppard's Bush and the Lush in Oxford Street (because you have to go to all the Lush stores haha!) This post will cover what I bought whist in London (that I had to painfully stop myself from using straight away so that I could take photos for this post!)

This is the sunflower bubble bar that lush brought out and made exclusive to Oxford Street (this was the reason I went over to Oxford Street!!) it smells like lemons and other citrus fruits! I can't wait to try this out and because it's so big it is going to last for a good few number of baths!!

The rest do thes products were brought in the LUSH in Shepherds Bush
This little beauty is called The Experimenter and it's a bath bomb. This was a te purchase because I've had this already and if you follow me on Instagram you can see a video of this bathbomb in action!! If you've ever been to lush you know the smell of the shop and how you can smell it half way down the street and this bath bomb has that classic lush scent!! It leaves your bath a beautiful purple colour and it's loaded with glitter so you feel like a princess!!!

This is a release for Easter and its called Fluffy Egg! It smells like one of lush's best sellers at Christmas SNOW FAIRY!! It's a beautiful mix of sweet candy scents and I can't wait to use it!!!

This is also another repurchase I will always buy two or three of these every time o go to lush, this time I purchased two of these and they are called Butterball! It is a little pocket rocket of a bath bomb and it packs a mighty punch when it comes to moisturising the skin! Imbedded in this bomb are loads of little chunks of cocoa butter that melt in the bath and coat your skin I this lovely oil that when joy get out of the bath you can rub into your skin!

This giant bath bomb is called Sakura and it is inspired by Japanese cherry blossom!! It smells like orange blossom and lemon and it's infused with jasmine oil so it is very moisturising! I have used tho one now and it leaves a lovely subtle pink colour in the bath and smells lovely!!

This little beauty really is the star of the show!! It is called the Golden Egg and it is beautiful!! When I saw it I knew I had to have it!! So this is a new one on me because this is not just s bath bomb it is a bath bomb melt, this is because these is a layer of solid oils and moisturising good stuff under the glitter and before the the fizzy bath bomb bit!! It smells like toffee and caramel and seems like it will make a wonderful bath experience! The only thing stopping me from using this is having to clean up aftet it! Hahaha

Thank you for reading about what I picked up from LUSH in London!! Let me know what your lush favourites are and I I've not tried them I'll probably pick them up and give them a go!! (We can all feed each other's LUSH addictions!!)

I love LUSH and I am sure that there will be loads more lush posts in here in the future!!

Thanks again!!

GlossyBox unboxing #1

I bought a glossy box!!!!!
I said in my March favourites post that I want to start doing posts that will become permanent or recurring fixtures on my blog and this is going to be one of them.

So this is the first of many monthly glossy box unboxings to come, and I am very excited!!!!
When I recieved my glossy box I was having a really bad day so having the post man bring my this lovely little box of happiness made me smile! This is everything that came in the beautiful pink box. I'll go through piece by piece of what they are and a little bit about whether I like them or not!

This is the Miracle Mist by Leighton Denny and it is quick drying mist for setting nail varnish, you know when you can't be bothered to wait for the polish to dry on its own ;). This is a full size product that retails for £12 and j have to say that I'm impressed with this, it does what it says and dries nail varnish in seconds! Having been a lover of nail extensions for May years I have come across tons of products like this one but this is the best one I've used!

This is from The Body Shops new range called Oils of Life and this is a sample of the Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil and it is lovely! It leaves the skin feeling so soft and smooth! I contacted the body shop on Twitter and they said it is to be used to moisturise the skin before putting on makeup, so it's not like all these oils you've seen on Instagram where you add it to your foundation! Like I said this is a sample size product and the full size retails for £28 but with your Glossy Box you get a card and on that card it says that you are entitled to a deluxe sample of the Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising sleeping cream and £10 any purchase when you spend £25 in store or online so that means that you can pick up this as a full sized product for only £18!! BARGIN!!

This is another full size product from th makeup brand Essence (which I am a huge fan of) this retails for £3 but it is by no means a dud product! You are supposed to use a bronzer brush to swirl the colours together and sweep it across the cheeks and nose to give a sun kissed loo, and I does it's really beautiful even on some one as pale as me, plus it smells like coconut and summer!

Another full size product here this one from Next and it is a lip crayon and I got the cherry shade which I do like but I think I would have preferred the peach shade! This retails for £8 and it claims to be long lasting as well as softening on the lips, which is true, this lip crayon feel is like a lip all when you're putting it on but has a really intense colour payoff that you wouldn't expect from such a hydrating product!

This is double ended brow pencil from the brand Studio 10! It has a universal taupe shade on one end that is supposed to be flattering on everyone and a creamy flesh toned pencil on the other end! When I saw this I really wanted to love it but sadly I can't because the flesh toned shade is just too dark for me, but then again I am ghostly in complexion, the taupe brow colour is great for days when I don't want to spend too long on my brows! But I have used the flesh toned pencil in my waterline and it works great!

All in all a really good box!! And an absolute steal at only £10!! If you want to get your own box you can follow this link here:

I AM FREEDOM

The search for the next #ProArtist

The lovely Adam Minto aka Mister Makeup launched the Freedom Makeup brand last year to bring professional quality products for reasonable prices!! And that he has! I'm a huge fan of all of Adams brands and Freedom makeup is no exception, the products are amazing high quality comparable to MAC but they are at prices that won't break the bank!

When at the Make Up Revolution birthday party last month Adam and Daisie (beauty's big sister) made an announcement that during the course of the summer there would be a competition (think NYX face awards) with Freedom makeup, for makeup lovers and budding makeup artists to enter for the chance to win some amazing prizes! 4 runners up prizes of £2000 and the winner will get a years supply of Freedom makeup, be signed to Freedom makeup and £20000!!!!!

So tomorrow is the day we will all hear the rest of the news surrounding this fabulous contest! All we know so far is that it is open worldwide!! I myself will be entering and I wish the best of luck to all who enter!! This will be amazing!!

March Favourites

Can I start off by saying that I can not believe that it is already April!!!! This shocks me because I feel like the year is going past so fast! I thought I'd jump on here and tell you all what I've been loving in the month of March in the hope that I will make this a regular feature on my blog! I have a feeling that this will be a long post so grab a cuppa and a snack if you want...

We will start with my beauty favourites of the month...

So first things first I'll start with foundation I have been loving my Loreal true match foundation this month! Now this is not me saying that this is the only one I used but I love mixing my foundations and this is what I have been using to mix with other foundations most days of the month! I have the shades Ivory and Rose Ivory as these are the two lightest shades and I'm basically a ghost!

Like I just said I am basically a ghost and this is the powder that I use and have used for ages!! It's the Collection pressed powder in the shade 18 Ivory and it's their lightest powder I use this to set all the places on my face where I conceal/highlight and then I use a big fluffy brush to dust some more lightly all over my face! I haven't found a powder that I like anywhere near as much as this one, it's amazing!

These two brushes are just WOW!! They are by the brand BeterElite which I believe is a Spanish brand (as I've only seen these in Spain and Tenerife) they are so reasonably priced and amazingly soft! I actually have 4 of the blending brushes hehe! And the brow brush is the only one I will use on my brows now! Love love love them and I need more!!

Speaking of brows this brow pomade by FREEDOM MAKE UP is amazing! If you want fleeky brows but don't have the budget to buy ABH brow pomade then this is the one for you! Just as good and at a fraction of the price!! There is a huge selection of shades to suit all hair colours, I use the shade Caramel Brown. Just a tip if you're going to use this product you need a really light hand, too much product on the brush you will end up with chunky looking brows!!

I picked up this liquid lipstick in London at the beginning of the month and I instantly fell in love with the colour! I'm already a huge fan of the MUA brand and their liquid lipsticks but this shade is to die for! It's a stunning pinky shade that I have been wearing with everything from a simple winged liner to a bold smokey eye!

This beautiful blush I have been reaching for more often than not this month and its the shade Damson Wine by Seventeen cosmetics a boots own brand! I love this beautiful dusty pink colour to add a little flush on the cheeks!

I have had this little lottie London lip balm for ages now but I fell in love with it again this month because I took it on holiday with me! It's just the perfect size to fit in a beach bag for a clutch bag if going out in the evening!! Plus it smells like cherries and helps liquid to matte lipstick go on like a dream!

The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara. (Wow that's a mouthful) this mascara has become a firm favourite in my makeup bag this month. And I have been regularly choosing this over both my Benefit Roller lash and my Too Faced Better Than Sex it has had mixed reviews online but I've found that it really lifts and coats my lashes and I love it!

This fixing mist is amazing!!!! I love it! You have to shake it up because it's a powder suspension spray but it really helps set my foundation! I have combination skin but I would recommend this for every one from oily to dry as you really don't need powder with this spray!!

Now a couple of non beauty favourites...

I picked up this cute little mirror in primark in London and I love it I love it, it's so sweet! It only cost £1 but it has a normal mirror and a magnified mirror in it and it's a perfect handbag size!

I bought this book at the airport before my holiday as I realised if forgotten my book that I was already reading! I love it! I've not finished it yet as I'm a pretty slow reader but so far it's great! If you like psychological thriller books you will love this!!

And last but certainly not least I have been binge watching AHS this month I've wanted to watch it for some time now and finally got round to it and have in the month of May watched the first three seasons!! It's great if you like horror films because it is a little bit freaky but I love that!!

Thank you for staying around this long!!

Hope you enjoyed seeing what my favourites were last month! What were some of yours?!

Make Up Revolution Rose Gold Lipsticks

Look at these!! How beautiful are these lipsticks?? They are stunning!! these are Make up Revolutions newest bullet lipsticks in this gorgeous rose gold packaging. When I saw these my obsession for all things rose gold took over and just I had to buy them, and I am so glad I did!

They at the moment only have 5 shade and I'm unsure if they are going to come out with anymore but if they do I will be the first to purchase them!!

This one is called Red Carpet, as you can see this is a really classic red shade that will look great on anyone as it not too orange and not too blue toned. I adore this shade and it is one of my favourites from the collection because I'm always on the look out for a really great red!!
This is Private Members Club and it's one for all you dark colour lovers that want something nearly black but not quite! Its a stunning deep purple that comes off a little sheer but if you layer it you get a really nice opaque colour that is just beautiful.
The name of this shade has to be my favourite it's called Girls Best Friend and I can see why!! It's the most perfect shade of bright pink that is an awesome subnet colour. This shade looks great with a turquoise/blue colour on the eye!!
This beautiful shade is called Chauffeur! It is a stunning nude shade that is actually my favourite shade of the collection because I love nude lips!! I don't know what else I can say about this one the colour really speakers for itself it's a perfect nude that will suit a wide range of skin tones! If you only get one of these lipsticks then get this one!!
This is Diamond Life. It's a pinky purple shade that is also gorgeous! It needs to be layered to get a fully opaque colour on the lips but even as a sheer shade it's stunning!!

At only £3 per lipstick you can't go wrong with this collection!! Another win for Make Up Revolution!!!

Make Up revolution 2nd birthday!!

So the amazing brand Makeup revolution turned 2 this year and they invited a tonne of bloggers/vloggers/makeup artists and makeup lovers to celebrate their birthday with them at Cafe de Paris in London!!

I was one of the extremely lucky people who got an invite!!!! YAY!!!!!!

As I was going on holiday on the Saturday and the event was on the Thursday in London I thought I'd take advantage of the time to spend the whole day in London and do some shopping and as I was going to be shopping I decided that it would be a good idea to drive. So I drove to Shepard's Bush Westfield and parked their for the day. I then mooched around Westfield popping into some of my favourite shops (Ted Baker, House of Fraiser, LUSH, Superdrug, etc) I got a bit carried away in LUSH and I will be doing a haul post in the next week. I Jumped on the tube and over to Oxford street because I knew that there was one piece from LUSH that I could only get there and I wanted to grab a few last minute bits for me and my boyfriend from Primark for our holiday. After doing all my shopping I dropped my stuff back in the car and made my way over to the party at the stunning Cafe de Paris venue.

I was supposed to be meeting up with another girl who was going but she fell ill at the last minuet and had to cancel so I made my way in by myself and I have to admit I was a little bit daunted because I am really shy when I'm thrown in to situations where I don't know any one, but I bumped into two lovely girls Kirsty and Tess who also met at the event and they took me under their wings and we ended up having a lovely night.

The event started at 4 and it was a chance for bloggers to meet and mingle and have a look at some of the new products that have just been and will soon be launched.

This is Makeup Revolutions sister brand I HEART MAKEUP and their newest addition to their extremely popular Chocolate bar collection of palettes (of which I'm a huge fan) this should be launching on Wednesday 23rd march and I cant wait!!! I LOVE all the shades this really is right up my ally!!!

Then on to the make up revolution table which was over flowing with new products from shimmer bricks and blush/ highlight palettes to brand new liquid lipsticks (not liquid to matte lipsticks!!) but of all the new releases the most sought after is the Fortune Favours The Brave palette that has been made in collaboration with Jane (British Beauty Blogger) it is a beautiful palette of 30 eye shadow shades that have been especially chosen by Jane so that anyone could use the palette. This beauty has already launched and is only £9.99 (that's an amazing price for 30 shadows of this quality!!)

After looking at what the brands had to offer came the party segment of the evening!!! It started with cocktails and picky foods and chocolate fountain!
Adam Minto (the owner of the makeup revolution brand) got up on stage to say thank you to all the people who had been involved with making the brand what it is today! They then also announced the big news that in conjunction with Freedom Makeup there will be a competition happening this year for budding make up artists to enter to win a grand prize of £10000, a years supply of Freedom makeup and being signed to the Freedom makeup brand!! All information will be released by Makeup revolution after the 1st April and I will be signing up to be a part of it!! I can't wait!!
The highlight of my night was meeting the great Mr Makeup and having a chat and getting a few scoops about what is up and coming from the brand!! I'm so excited to tell you all about it!! After he met everyone who wanted to say hi he announced that the amazing Scott Mills was to DJ for the evening!!
Thank you for sticking with me this long I know it's a long blog but I wanted to have you a taste of what the evening was like!! :)

Honey Bee Bath bomb (LUSH)

I recieved this bath bomb from my sister as part of a Honey gift box for Christmas (honey is really good for eczema prone skin!) it came with this Honey I Washed The Kids soap, Its Raining Men Shower gel and a Massage bar!

I tried this bath bomb out the other day so thought I'd write a quick review on it!!

This is the LUSH description from their website:- A good soak in a Honey Bee bath will soothe and cleanse the skin thanks to its wonder trio of honey, aloe vera, and rhassoul mud, a clay mined near Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. Honey is a wonder ingredient that soothes, retains moisture and is antiseptic, and we add plenty of cooling aloe vera, too. Rhassoul mud has natural cleansing properties, and also helps condition and soften the skin.

So I can say straight off the bat it's got a very faint scent! Which some people will really love as do I sometimes but I really love the LUSH products that are heavily scented!! It is however very heavily coloured with yellow and left a light yellow stain on my skin and in the bath (which I scrubbed off once I was out! Obvs!) It is a lovely moisturising bath bomb and it made for a very lovely bath!! Well worth a buy and I will be repurchasing soon!!

Franks Body Scrub

OOOHHH.MYYY.GAAAD!!!!

This scrub is amazing!!!!!! I have well and truly fallen in love with it.

As you know I have skin issues and get some really bad patches of eczema on my face and body, so in conjunction with my Vanity Planet Spin 4 Perfect Skin face and body brush which I have been die hard for since I bought it in the middle of last year, I have started using the Franks coffee body scrub. now I wasn't the first person in my family to try this my little sister tried it first and I used it a couple of times and liked it so much that when she moved away to uni I vowed to get my own! So I did!!

I picked up the Cacao Coffee Scrub which is a blend of roasted and ground robusta coffee beans, organic cacao extract, cold pressed almond oil and cold pressed macadamia oil. They say that it smells like chocolate cake, which it does with a hint of coffee, it is vegan and not  tested on animals and can be used to target dry skin, stretch marks, cellulite and acne. They suggest to use it 3-5 times a week but for me that is a bit much as I have got really sensitive skin.

I am in LOVE with this coffee scrub its just the right amount of tough on the skin where you can actually feel its working. I like to use in the morning as it makes me feel awake and makes my makeup go on so much better, as a girl who suffers from texture on my face I can't tell you how much of a life saver this is.

The scrub itself comes in four different scents Original (made with orange oil so has a lovely orangey scent) Cacao (chocolate) Coconut and Peppermint. I have tried the Original and the Cacao now and loved them both and I am intrigued to try the others when this one runs out! This scrub itself is a must for anyone who suffers from problem skin like i do or for those who just like a good exfoliator!

Hope you enjoy it let me know what you think of the scrub if you try it!!

I have been doing makeup on friends and family for ages and I love to make people feel beautiful, so what better way to do that then to offer to take the strain off someone on their wedding day. The course I'm doing is at Mode Makeup Academy in Winchester and I'm super excited to start!! I'll keep you all updated with whats happening and stuff as and when it happens but I thought I'd do a quick post about it!!
